I usually don't feel like having a big breakfast when I leave for work. So a smoothie is a very good option. It's nutritious, it's super simple and it's delicious. Now I know you usually don't have a roasted butternut squash in your fridge, but I use to make this smoothie when I had a pumpkin dish (i.e. pumpkin risotto, pumpkin soup) the day before in order to get rid of the leftover ingredients.
